Power of Attorney Chicago

The Illinois Electronic Commerce Security Act authorizes virtual signings for your essential estate plan, Living Trust, Health Care Power of Attorney, and Financial Power of Attorney documents. All documents can be delivered to you, and you can sign in the comfort and safety of your home via electronic conference. We are authorized to supply all witnesses and a notary. Of course, you are always welcome to sign your documents traditionally, in person, in our Oakbrook Terrace offices.

Financial Power of Attorney

A Durable Power of Attorney gives another person you choose the full legal authority to manage your financial affairs if you can no longer make these decisions yourself. A Power of Attorney is important to ensure that your financial matters are handled efficiently in an unfortunate occurrence.

This legal document is effective at incapacitation or immediately. This document also allows an individual (again, of your choice) to sign your name and manage all your finances.

You can revise or revoke your document anytime if you are mentally competent. A Durable Power of Attorney is effective as soon as it is signed.

Health Care

If you cannot make these decisions yourself, this legal document gives another person you choose the full legal authority to make all of your necessary health care decisions. This is an important document to handle your healthcare and end-of-life decisions.

The document is effective when you are terminally ill or become incapacitated. It allows you to establish important end-of-life decisions.  This is also a flexible document. This power includes whether or not to use life-sustaining measures such as life support.

You can revise or revoke your document at any time, including during a terminal illness, as long as you are mentally competent.

We strongly recommend storing your Health Care Power of Attorney document in MYLO so that it is accessible 24/7, 365 days, by any physician, hospital, or clinic worldwide.
